Karbach beers have become a massive favorite among Houstonians and all across the great state of Texas, really. Today, word began to spread that they were being bought by Anheuser-Busch and this hasn’t set too well with some of the biggest Karbach fans.
As for most business ventures, the goal is to be successful and if you can be even more successful than you had originally planned then that’s even better. That seems to be what has happened for our friends at Karbach Brewery.
They addressed the “buyout” or “partnership” on their Facebook page a few hours ago:
We’re excited to announce that we’ve entered into a partnership with Anheuser-Busch to join their High End division. In the 5 years we’ve in business, we’ve been blown away by the outpouring of support for our beers and culture.
In fact, we’ve been overwhelmed with brewing and selling quality beer to drinkers across Texas. This partnership will allow us to continue to grow and focus more on brewing new and exciting beers for you to enjoy.
We’re still a Texas brewery, with Texas employees, making great Texas beer on Karbach Street.
